Coach: Ron Hogue

I have been teaching and coaching for 21 years. I graduated from Lone Oak High School in 1977. I played football basketball track and tennis. I earned all state honors in football as a senior and played on a state finalist football team.

I earned all region honors in basketball. I went to Austin College in Sherman Texas and played basketball for them. I received my diploma from East Texas State University in Commerce in 1985. My first coaching job was in Van Horn Texas. I was there for three years as the Junior High Athletic

Director .  I then took a job as the head basketball Coach at Boles High School in Quinlan Texas. We made the playoffs two times in the eight years that I was there and the first time that they had been in 33 years. I helped start their 6 man football program and also took them to the playoffs in their fourth year of having football. We qualified several athletes to the state track meet for the first time in school history. I later moved to Cumby High School where I coached basketball for two years and then started their 11 man football program. We had a winning program in three years out of the first five. I also coached their track and golf teams. We won district and placed in the top five in the region in golf on several occasions and had several regional qualifiers in track. I am currently in my second year at Mullin and I am enjoying working with our young athletes and will continue to work hard to improve our athletic program.
